Words of wisdom from Amanda's secondary spirit guide
The second post in our "Introducing our Spirit Team" series brings you advice from Robin, Amanda's secondary spirit guide. While Amanda's spirit team consists of two guides, some people may have more and some may have less. Others may even be directly guided by angels. Know that whoever is on your team, they are looking out for your highest good.
Robin makes up the second Backyard Wellness team member on the spiritual plane. Working alongside Sarah and Juliana's guide (who you will meet in two weeks), the three guides provide insight on all Backyard Wellness affairs. Today we have channeled a message from Robin to you, our Backyard Wellness family.
"Know that whoever is on your team, they are looking out for your highest good."
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening everyone! So glad you can join us in this wonderful Backyard space! I am Robin, the fun one as I like to say. (Don't tell Sarah that though!) I don't want to bog you down with too much advice, because we all know you may only retain some of it. No offence to you or anything, but I find too much information rather boring myself. Okay, maybe that's partially a lie, but today I'd rather focus on something a little more lighthearted - how to be happy!
First of all, do you even truly know what happiness feels like? It's easy to think that if you're smiling you're happy. Or if you're surrounded by people you love, you're happy. Or if you found fulfillment in your career, you're happy. But what if your smile doesn't reach your eyes? What if you love your family, but not yourself? What if you enjoy your career, but there's another aspect of your life out of balance? Are you really truly happy in any of those circumstances? I'd like to venture a guess and say no.
To be truly happy means to find joy, contentment, and peace in every aspect of your life, even those that you wish to change. You see, the simple act of knowing you need to change part of your life means you are moving towards happiness and out of stagnancy. To be deeply and profoundly happy means your soul sings to a miraculous tune, vibrating your body with energy and joy. It means you have acknowledged the feeling of lightness and freshness in your soul, and seek out experiences to deepen those joyous feelings.
Now for the fun part - what makes you happy? I'll start by listing things that make me happy, and maybe one of these will resonate with you. I find joy in the chipper song of a morning bird. I find joy in the rhythmic lapping of waves on the sea. I find joy in peaceful walks in beautiful surroundings. I find joy in the sunshine, and even in the rain. I find joy when I am being challenged. I find joy in silence, but also in chaos (not the negative kind, but the invigorating kind from say, a rock concert). I find joy in approaching life with a childlike sense of wonder - that should never disappear.
As you go about your day, what brings you joy? What makes you sing? What makes your heart fly? Write them down, and seek them out again, and again, and again. This is what makes life worth living. This is what makes life truly magical.
With love,
Robin
